The WHO Collaborating Centre for Nutrition and Childhood Obesity Conference was held on 19 October 2021. This Conference, promoted by the Instituto Nacional de Saúde Doutor Ricardo Jorge (INSA), through its Food and Nutrition Department and as the WHO Collaborative Centre for Nutrition and Childhood Obesity, was attended by the distinguished Director-General of WHO Europe, Dr Hans Kluge, and several institutions from the Ministry of Health.

The conference was divided into different sections, included:

>>Presentation of the results of the COSI Portugal 2019 Report (5th round);

>>Launch of the European study, led by INSA, on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the nutritional status and lifestyle of schoolchildren;

>>Contributions from other WHO Collaborative Centres in Nutrition;

>>Presentation of the activities carried out in recent years by the WHO Collaborative Centre on Nutrition and Childhood Obesity in Portugal and Europe.

The event was held in a hybrid format (face-to-face and online). Due to the current situation related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event had limited places for face-to-face participation, which took place in the INSA auditorium in Lisbon.
