The Conference of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Nutrition and Childhood Obesity will take place on October 19th, from 9am to 5pm (Lisbon time).
Organized by the National Institute of Health Doutor Ricardo Jorge (INSA), through its Department of Food and Nutrition, this Conference will feature the honourable presence of the WHO Regional Director for Europe, Dr Hans Kluge, and of representatives from the several institutions of the Portuguese Ministry of Health.
This Conference will include the following moments:
>>Presentation of the results from the COSI Portugal 2019 Report (5th round);
>> Launch of the European study, led by the National Institute of Health Doutor Ricardo Jorge, on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the daily routine and behaviours of school aged children in Europe;
>>Contributions of other WHO Collaborating Centres for Nutrition;
>>Presentation of the several activities performed over the last years by the WHO Collaborating Centre for Nutrition and Childhood Obesity, both in Portugal and in Europe.
The event will be held in a hybrid format, with on-site participation as well as virtual participation. Due to the current situation related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of seats in the INSA’s Auditorium is limited.
